lonely

i wish more people talked about how lonely it is to have all of your family on the other side of a screen. to know that if you were to get covid, your legal next of kin would be an aunt who you've spoken to fewer than ten times in your life. to be touch starved and an essential worker so even if you could touch someone you probably wouldn't for more than a few seconds for their safety. to not know how long it will be before you see your family again (or perhaps ever).
